Take a scenic drive to Skye Golf in the Whitecap Mountains. We're located just 15 minutes west of downtown Hurley, Wisconsin and Ironwood, Michigan! Your drive takes Wisconsin's most scenic roads. Wisconsin Highway 77 rides the ridges of the ancient Penokee Mountain Range as it heads westward from world famous Silver Street. Iron County Highway E brings you past wetlands and mountain ridges to Weber Lake; our golf course rising more than 300 feet from its shores. Wisconsin Highway 122 wraps around the west side of The Whitecap Mountains on its northbound route to the shores of Lake Superior at Saxon Harbor.

Skye is carved from the ancient bedrock and rolling greens of Whitecap, Thunderhead and Eagles Nest Mountains. The setting reminds one of the origins of golf and its highland traditions - when King James IV of Scotland became the first authenticated player some 500 years ago.

Enjoy playing our 18 Emeralds in the Skye amid a tapestry of blue granite ridges, highland meadows, bubbling glacial springs and vast hardwood forests overlooking Lake Superior. Glacial rifts and mountain formations offer you challenging changes in elevation from tee to green. And the lush bent grass fairways make this a golf course to remember.

This premier Wisconsin golf resort also offers you an incredible driving range for you to warm up for those accurate drives before you take to the links. The aqua driving range is set apart from the course in its own serene environment.

If the rest of your family isn't as enthused about golf as you, Skye offers plenty of activities to keep them busy while you take your time and savor your game. The Alpine village setting with abundant lodging is located on the shores of Weber Lake. It's a great spot for the kids to play our disc golf course, fish, swim and ride the paddle boats. Just to the north at Saxon Harbor, one can experience swimming, agate hunting, sailing & deep sea fishing on Lake Superior. There's also a large swimming pool and hot tub in the Whitecap Lodge. They can even keep up with Face Book or Twitter away with free WI-FI from our Village Center.

Within half an hour of here discover more than 30 waterfalls, wilderness hiking, mountain biking, and 200 miles of ATV trails that begin right from our property. For the more adventurous, kayak the shores of Lake Superior. We offer kayak excursions and learning experiences for those at every skill level.
